I'm a what? ((David)) [PAST THREAD]

Ariel was on her way out of Cyrodiil in a carriage with one of her father's old adviser's, on the way to Skyrim on official business, it was the first time she had been out of the city since her father's death. By the time they reached the wilds near the border, they heard a loud noise as their carriage began to shake violently. "DRAGON!" a Nord guard shouted, Ariel ran out, her armor already on for protection, and grabbed her bow, as she began to try to take down the dragon, she didn't need to die, at least not today.

David was on patrol around Skyrim upon the back of Odahviing. He was looking for any Dragons that had not decided to follow Parthurnaax's way of the voice, or respected David's Thu'um after his defeat of the world eater. He indeed found one, and immediately recognized it as the revered dragon. The fact it was attacking an escort from Cryodiil was enough to tell him it was a rogue.

"Put me down there!" He yelled over the wind to his dragon "Of course, Dovakiin" Odahviing roared and dived for the ground. When he landed, David climbed off his best friend. "Take to the skies, Odahviing, and give this dragon your wrath!" He said. Odahviing roared and took off to distract the rogue. "Get to saftey."He then warned the guards. He knew in a moment the woman must be important, he looked her over and said "That includes you ma'am"

After a few minutes, a man riding another dragon came down, telling his dragon to attack the other one, what? He soon told her to get to safety, "Why should I trust you? You just came down on one of the things I'm trying to kill!" she exclaimed, "Besides, I can handle myself, I do have training." she explained, putting her bow away, she began to cast flames and frost at the dragon, hoping one of the two would kill it. Her armor was mostly flame resistant, so she should only suffer minor damage at most.

David gave the woman a hard stare "I am David RazacRazer. It was i who slayed the dragon Alduin. I have killed more dragons then you have men. I won't even start on the men I have killed." He then looked up as Odahviing blew flames at the rogue, which blew frost at him. "without Odahviing, I would not have been able to travel to Sovengarde to finish the world eater, so mind your tongue Miss." He then pulled Kveykva and Brisingr from their sheaths, eying her non effective magic. "This Dragons can not be killed with such easy magic." He warned and then shouted " Joor, Zah Frul!" (Dragonrend) At the dragon, which hit its mark. "I'd get out of here if i were you" he yelled as he twirled his swords and bounced on the spot. When the dragon landed a little ways off, he ran at it and started slashing at its armor.

Odahviing landed on the other end of the dragon and started to snap at its neck, trying to get a hold

Ariel rolled her eyes inside her helmet, hoping David couldn't see it, "Whatever you say, but that doesn't change the fact that I won't fight for myself, I'm not some damsel in distress." she told him, "Sorry if I've offended you, but one doesn't generally trust someone riding a dragon into battle." she commented. When he told her that her magic wouldn't work, she brought out her flame enchanted war axe instead, and watched as David yelled at the dragon? Whatever he did was effective, as the dragon came down, she followed his lead and began hacking at the dragon with her axe, trying to help at least, she wasn't going to just stand there or run.

David knew most women were not damsels in distress. heck, most of his companions were women. The problem was, they either died, or he left them behind for their own protection. He didn't even think he had a house carl left. That was why he stuck with Odahviin. he was unmatched on the battlefield, by all but David, and David had only bested him by trickery.

When Odahviin finally got hold of the Dragons neck, David climbed onto the dragon and stabbed him in the head with both swords, just as Odahviin snapped its neck. David then pulled out his swords and jumped off the head onto the ground, standing in front of the woman, swords in his hands, and his head bowed. He waited for the soul to absorb into him, and smiled slightly when he felt the rush of it entering him, but it was not as strong, he looked up to see some of it go into her. "What?" He asked in shock.

Odahviin growled from behind David "Dovakiin" this was not directed at David though, but at the woman.

"Who are you?" David finally said

Ariel watched as David and his dragon, Odaviihn as he had referred to it earlier finished off the dragon. Then something weird happened, some kind of mist went into David and into her? What was going on that this thing went into her? Ariel pulled off her helmet so she could breathe, "I'm Ariel Mede, Princess of Tamriel, Daughter of late Emperor Titus Mede II." she explained, "What just happened?" she asked, a look of confusion displayed on her face.

David felt a pang of guilt when she mentioned she was daughter of the Emperor. The late Emperor. Late because of him. She didn't know that, of course. And he planned on not telling her. "Well.. my lady, it is a honor." He bowed. He then looked up at her as he sheathed his sword. "You have just absorbed a portion of this dragons soul. The means power, and knowledge. You, are Dragonborn, like myself." He then turned away and started to pick the best bones off of the dragon, putting it in Odahviins saddlebags. "That should make the guilds much wealthier" He assured his dragon. he then placed a hand on Odahviin and turned back to Ariel "You have two choices your majesty. You can continue the life you know, or join me, and learn the ways of the dragonborn." He then climbed onto Odahviin. If she was to join him, she had to hope on him quick, or loose her chance... of course, she could always try and find him later.

Ariel blinked, "Dragonborn? I've only read about them in books, how can you and I be them?" she asked, Dragonborns were supposed to be mythical, but then again, so were dragons. Ariel nodded, "I suppose it'd be best to come with you, I doubt there's anyone back at the Imperial City that could help me with something like this." she decided, then climbed on the back of the dragon, behind David, "Are you sure this is safe?" she inquired, looking down.

David furrowed his eyebrows. "Have you not heard of me? I would think you, the princess of Tamriel, would have. I was the one who saved the world, it was I who freed you from the dominion and pushed the high elves back to their homeland. you mean no heard has reached you of the Dragonborn?" David said skeptically. Odahviin growled from beneath him "You have heard not of the Dovakin? It is through his bravery that you stand here today, safe. This is an outrage!" He roared. David patted his neck "Calm, friend. it would do us ill to anger the princess"

He then smiled as she climbed on. When a guard protested, David said "If you want to continue to keep guard over her, you can find her at the College of Winterhold." He then looked over his shoulder at Ariel "It is as long as you hold on." he then patted Odahviin again "To the skies, Odahviin" he said. "With pleasure, Dovahkiin!" Odah roared and took to the sky

Ariel sighed, "I'm sorry, but, since my fathers death, I've been sheltered from most of the information that happens outside of The Imperial City." She explained, "Anything that goes on is taken care of by my father's old advisers, I'm essentially forbidden from having any of that knowledge "for my safety." " she continued, putting the phrase "for my safety" in air quotes. "I'm not even allowed to go to the Mages guild as of late, which is disconcerting considering I'm the Arch-Mage." She finished.

Ariel stepped back when the dragon began to growl at her, she raised her eyebrow "Sorry." She apologized.

The College of Winterhold? From what she remembered, that was Skyrims college of magic, she had always wanted to visit, but precautions held her back. Ariel nodded, then held on tightly to the dragon's saddle.

(OOC: I'm assuming she's already Arch-Mage at this point)

David felt another pang of guilt, but ignored it and nodded "That is understandable" When she mentioned she was the Arch-Mage of the Mages guild, he laughed "Is that all?" that was barely anything compared to what he ran.

Odahvinn growled quietly "I suppose that is a reasonable excuse for ignorance" He admitted grudgingly. David laughed "No heads for the Dovah to eat today!" He said in a cheerful tone, which made Odah blow a column of fire in annoyance

David had been kind of disappointed when she grabbed onto the saddle instead of him, but quickly got over it and held on as Odahviin carved through the air.

Ariel sighed again, "Being Arch-Mage at the Mages Guild is all I can do in my spare time, otherwise, I'm almost always being prepared to be the Empress, considering I'm the only heir to the throne." she explained. Ariel's eyes widened as the dragon spat fire after a conversation with David.

Ariel gulped as they rose to the air, gripping the saddle as tightly as she could, "I suppose now would probably be a bad time to tell you I'm afraid of heights." she called over the wind, all the color gone from her face as she went paler than normal.

David nodded in understanding. "I am sorry you had to be exposed to it all so soon. You should have had many years left to be yourself" He said quietly, still feeling guilty. Odah knew what David knew about the murder, and huffed/ "Manners, Dovah." David said sternly. Odahvinn turned his head around to look at David and said in a growl "Watch your tone Dovahkin, I am not some pet of yours to be chatzied!" David simply rose a hand in a surrender "Just watch where you're flying, old friend"

David then let a laugh escape his lips "Hold on to me then, I won't let you fall Princess"

Ariel nodded, glancing at the ground slightly, "Sometimes I wish whoever had killed him wouldn't have, I wouldn't be under so much stress." she said, venting slightly, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't unload all of my problems on you, I'm sure you don't want to hear about them." she apologized.

Ariel blinked, "I'll hold onto you, but you better not let me fall." she said, wrapping her arms around David's waist, and scooting up a bit on the saddle so she was closer to him.
